First look at Claire Foy in new movie with Andrew Scott

Dec 31, 2023

Playing... his mum?

Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott's new film All of Us Strangers has released its first look images at Claire Foy and Jamie Bell.

Normal People star Mescal and Sherlock actor Scott play Harry and Adam, respectively, two men who live in the same London tower block and strike up a friendship.

The Crown actress Foy and Billy Elliot icon Bell play Adam's parents, who we see here in a new image. Everything looks pretty normal, right? Except the two are way too young to play Andrew Scott's parents.

It turns out that this is a plot point. According to a preview, Adam's parents are said to have died years ago, but are seemingly alive and living in his home, no older than the day they were said to have died.

What's going on here? Figment of the imagination, something supernatural? You're going to have to watch and see.

Meanwhile, another photo teases that the two men's friendship might become more than a friendship...

Director Andrew Haigh recently praised his cast, while revealing that the film may not be that far off from hitting screens.

"I mean, all of them, you know, Paul, Andrew, Claire, Jamie, they were like a dream cast to work with," he said. "It was a really beautiful experience and the film's nearly, you know, we're coming to the endpoint now, nearly finishing it off and so, no, I'm really pleased with that."

Hopefully we'll get a release date soon, because we know you all can't to find out what's going on with the parent situation (and whether Mescal and Scott kiss).

All of Us Strangers is yet to receive a release window.
